உருவாக்கம் பெறும் போது என்னமாதிரியான முக்கியத்துவம் பெறுகிறது ? உங்கள் பாத்திரங்கள் புற ரீதியான விவரணைகள் வழி நிலத்தை அணுகினாலும் அவை அகப்பூர்வமான உரையாடல்களையே நிகழ்த்த விழைவதாய் தோன்றுகிறது .உங்கள் நாவல்கள் உண்மையில் அதைத்தான் செய்ய விரும்புகின்றனவா சாரு ? ஜான் பான்வில் எழுதிய கடல், பாமுக்கின் ‘பனி’ , மார்க்வெஸ் எழுதிய மகாந்தோ ,Dubliners வீதிகள் இவற்றில் உள்ள Time vs Landscape play உங்கள் கதைகளில் இரண்டு அல்லது அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட நிலங்களாக விரிவதன் பின் உள்ள பிரத்யேக காரணங்கள் பகிர முடியுமா ?

I have plenty of questions but limit them to a three.
1. As a follow-up to Arunachalam’s question, how do you keep the reader in you alive?
I remember S.Ramakrishnan saying that he is drawn more into history, science, philosophy, fine arts and other stuff. Jeyamohan expressed a similar view sometime back. That his primary interests now are history and philosophy. Both of them said that they read less fiction than what they used to read 30-35 years ago.
You differ from them in that way. French literature and French philosophy to begin with, then Latin American literature and now Arabic literature. How does this transition happen? Could you please explain it?
PS: The comparison is only to bring out your reading fiction without losing interest. It is by no means a mere comparison of reading habits/preferences and to belittle S.Ramakrishnan and Jeyamohan
2. When are we going to get ‘Latin American Cinema’ and ‘Pazhupu Nira Pakkangal – 3’ about Karichan Kunju, Nagulan, Indira Parthasarathy, Pramil, Vanna Nilavan and Nanjil Nadan
3. On a selfish note to conclude, I suggested the title Émigré for Marginal Man which I thought was a better title and sent a few mails too. What made you to choose Marginal Man instead of Émigré?
