1985-இல் வெளிவந்த என்னுடைய லத்தீன் அமெரிக்க சினிமா என்ற நூலை ஆங்கிலத்தில் மொழிபெயர்ப்பதற்காக எடிட் செய்து கொண்டிருந்த போது கீழ் வரும் தகவலைக் கண்டேன்.  அப்போதெல்லாம் இண்டர்நெட், கணினி இல்லாத காலம் என்று சொல்லத் தேவையில்லை.  அப்படியெல்லாம் வரும் என்று கூட யூகிக்க முடியாத காலம்.  எப்போதும் தில்லி செண்ட்ரல் செக்ரடேரியட் நூலகத்தில்தான் இருப்பேன்.  அமெரிக்காவிலிருந்து வந்து கொண்டிருந்த சிறுபத்திரிகைகளிலிருந்துதான் இந்த விபரங்களைப் பெற்றிருப்பேன் என்று தோன்றுகிறது.  அல்லது, கூபாவிலிருந்து வந்து கொண்டிருந்த granma பத்திரிகையிலிருந்து இருக்கலாம்.  அந்ரந்த நூலிலிருந்து ஒரு சிறிய பத்தி:

 

தூக்குத் தண்டனை பெற்று இறந்து போன ஒரு வழிப்பறிக் கொள்ளைக்காரனான Barnabe Somoza-வின் பேரனான, Tacho ஒரு சமயம் பண மோசடி செய்து ஒரு பெரும் சிக்கலில் மாட்டிக்கொண்டவன். ஆனாலும் நிகராகுவாவின் செல்வாக்கு பெற்ற குடும்பம் ஒன்றில் மணம் செய்து கொண்டதால் குறிப்பிடத்தகுந்த புள்ளிகளுள் ஒருவனானான். அமெரிக்காவின் உதவி இருந்தால்தான் நாட்டைப் பிடிக்க முடியும் என்பதை முதலிலேயே அறிந்து அமெரிக்க அதிகாரிகளுடன் நல்லுறவை வளர்த்துக்கொண்டான். இதன் காரணமாகவே இவனால் 1933-இல் அமெரிக்கத் துருப்புகள் வெளியேறிய போது தேசியப் படையின் உதவியைக் கொண்டு Sacasa ராஜினாமா செய்வதற்கு அவரைக் கட்டாயப் படுத்தினான். தொடர்ந்து 1936-இல் தன்னைத் தானே அதிபராக நியமித்துக் கொண்டான். இருபது ஆண்டுகளில் மத்திய அமெரிக்காவின் மாபெரும் செல்வந்தன் என்ற நிலையை அடைந்தான். 21-9-56 அன்று 27 வயதே நிரம்பிய Rigoberto Lopez Perez என்ற கவிஞனால் சுட்டுக் கொல்லப்பட்டான்.

Rigoberto Loez Perez: நிகரகுவாவைச் சேர்ந்த கவிஞர். பிறப்பு: 1929. நிகரகுவாவில் 1979-ஆம் ஆண்டில் சான்டிஸ்டா புரட்சியால் தூக்கியெறியப்பட்ட சொமோஸாவின் தந்தையான சொமோஸா கார்ஸியாவைக் (Anastasio Somozo Garcia) கொன்றவர். சொமோஸா கார்ஸியா மீண்டும் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டால் அவனைக் கொல்லுவேன் என்று அறிவித்து, 21.9.1956 அன்று அவன் அதிபராக மீண்டும் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட போது (லியோன் என்ற நகரத்தில் மட்டும் வாக்களிப்பில் பங்குகொண்ட மொத்த வாக்காளர் எண்ணிக்கை: 96) லோபஸ் பெரஸ் என்ற 27 வயதுக் கவிஞன் தான் அறிவித்ததை நடைமுறைப் படுத்தினான். பின் கைது செய்யப்பட்டு மரண தண்டனை விதிக்கப்பட்டான். தான் சாவதற்கு முன் அவன் தன் அன்னைக்கு எழுதிய கவிதை மடலின் ஆங்கில மொழிபெயர்ப்பே பின்வரும் Letter – Testament.
