என்னுடைய மிக நெருங்கிய நண்பர்கள் எனக்கு ஓ காதல் கண்மணி பிடிக்காது என எப்படி நினைத்தார்கள் என்று என்னால் யூகிக்கவே முடியவில்லை.  படத்தைப் பார்த்த போது நான் எழுதிய கதை ஒன்றை மணி இயக்கியிருக்கிறார் என்றே தோன்றியது.  அதில் உள்ள வசனம் எல்லாம் நான் எழுதியதோ என்று தோன்றியது.  படத்தின் ஒவ்வொரு நிமிடத்தையும் ரசித்து ரசித்துப் பார்த்தேன்.  இன்னொரு முறையும் பார்க்க வேண்டும் என்று தோன்றுகிறது.  பார்ப்பேன்.

எனக்கு இன்னது பிடிக்கும் இன்னது பிடிக்காது என்று யூகிப்பதில் வல்லவர் மதுரை அருணாசலம்.  அவர் எழுதிய கடிதம் கீழே.

Yours review on Maniratnam’s. Ok kadhal kanmani is excellent.  I enjoyed the film.. I felt that this movie could try to entertain you through its simple, enjoyable dialogue structures, background musical score and artistically blended lyrical contribution of  Vairamuthu..  Moreover,  it is a well crafted youthful subject. While watching this movie, I promised my family that CHARU the real rebellious youth would enjoy this film. I am overjoyed  on your happines…
